Things to remember for making your website mobile responsive

Responsive web design: key tips and approaches

This responsive design is designed to provide the best user experience on any platform you view your site on a PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. It was born from the idea that multiple screens should be used to display content and that content should respond instantly to the size of the screen. Business websites like the steering wheels or car brakes should be responsive. So let’s take a look at what responsive design is, why you should use it, and how you can implement it on your website or in your current design.

What is Responsive Design?

Good user expertise of a contemporary website depends on its design. Fifteen years ago everybody surfed the web with a PC with a screen, however, these days the selection is way wider. The goal of responsive design is to maximize the user experience on these devices, though the planning is slightly different. For example, you’ll be able to place info in one column on a smartphone and 2 columns on a laptop, but the brand and content stay the same. the chosen layout makes folding, panning, scaling, and most importantly, a bit confusing. This ensures an excellent experience for everyone, regardless of the device they use to browse the site.

1. Using a fluid grid

A few years ago, most websites were designed primarily based on a measure called pixels. But now manufacturers have switched to water supply networks. A grid doesn’t make all the elements on a web page the same size, it measures them correctly. This makes it smoother because it does different things for a particular screen. Objects respond to parts of the display screen (i.e. the grid) rather than a fixed size in pixels. Responsive grids are usually divided into columns and expand in height and width. There is no specified width or height. Instead, the aspect ratio depends on the screen size of the display.

2. Allow touch screens

Even laptops these days have touch screens. Therefore, it is important to create a website that is responsive to all mouse and touchscreen functions. If you have a form with a drop-down menu in the laptop view, you need to style the form so that it is wide and easy to tap on touch screen devices. Also, try to post photos, call-to-actions, and buttons that work well on any screen, as small details like buttons are hard to click on a smartphone.

3. Decide what to put on the small screen

Responsive design no longer means adapting your website directly from one device to another. You’re looking for a first-class user experience, which could mean you want to get rid of the way people view web pages on small screens. Responsive websites often incorporate menus or navigation options into buttons that can be opened with one click. The menu can be expanded and displayed on larger screens or opened with a single button on smaller screens. Again, you can set rules with specific elements or use advanced CSS  and other code on your website to omit rules. It may take some effort to set up too, but the traffic will be amazing!

4. Think carefully about your photos

Image design is one of the most difficult parts of responsive web design. You need to create a rule in your CSS that determines how to handle an image on the same screen, whether it is made full-width, full-width, cleared, or rendered well.

5. Try pr-designed themes or methods

If you’re not a natural member, you may need extra help to make your web page responsive. The right information is the right help.

If you don’t have the time or skills to design your own website, you can “trick” by using a pre-designed theme or framework that does your plans. This process everyone should be afraid of is updating colors, logos, and content to suit your business needs. If you are using WordPress, there are a number of free and paid themes that are immediately responsive. The same applies to many large eCommerce companies that provide themes for their web pages.
